Teenagers are cool man. Who else could come up with such a descriptive interpretation of the effect of mass-manufacturing processes on the earth and it’s inhabitants? This image is one of many that were generated in the first edition of the 2008 Don’t Sweat Shop workshops. The workshops teach young people about the realities of mass-manufacturing while giving them the opportunity to make their own garment from existing materials. We are looking for sponsors to support a permanent program of these workshops in 2009 and beyond. We are also pleased to be cantering on up to Sydney, with a re-staging of the ‘There’s a Hole in my Bucket’ project as part of the Sydney Design Festival.
