The Money Conversation

Sara Juli in The Money Conversation

What would you do if a performer gave you $500 and said you could keep it? Sara Juli’s The Money Conversation does just that. Direct from New York, Ambiguous Horse will present the show in September. The one-woman show is all about money - what it means, how much is enough and whether you would take it from a stranger.

The Money Conversation premiered at New York City performance venue P.S. 122 in Feb, 2006 and was presented at the Noorderzon Festival in Groningen, Holland last August. Ambiguous Horse will bring the show to Arts House with funding received from the City of Melbourne in their recent Arts Presentation round.

Sara Juli’s The Money Conversation

“Yes, you’ve heard right. I have cashed out my entire savings account and have brought it here tonight. The money not only represents but literally IS all the money I have saved over the five and a half years that I have lived in New York City. This money is my safety net, and if I were to get fired, dumped or thrown out onto the street, this is all that I have. I also need the money for my upcoming wedding. As you can imagine, it is very important to me. However, tonight, we’ll find out how important my money is to you…” Sara Juli.

The show will run as part of the 2007 Melbourne Fringe Festival.
